Your gift can be allocated to any university fund that you choose, so that your impact can support the areas on campus that hold the greatest significance for you. Private giving empowers our university’s endeavors to attach and retain wonderful professors, advance student research opportunities, and increase scholarship support, among countless other funds that all contribute to William & Mary’s transformative educational experience. Highlighted Giving Opportunities

You can allocate your gift to any area/initiative on campus that has a fund! There are over a thousand to choose from. Here are a few general funds that students gave to last year:

  • FGLI Students of William & Mary (4677)
    • To provide support for initiatives to engage and support first generation, low-income (FGLI) students at William & Mary, including marketing and events.
  • Student Philanthropy & Engagement Fund (5237)
    • To support student philanthropy and engagement initiatives at William & Mary, including Impact Week projects and programming.
  • Health, Emergencies, and Resources for the Tribe (HEART) Fund (4681)
    • To be used by the Office of Student Affairs to provide emergency support for William & Mary students.
  • Scholarships Impact Fund (0158)
    • To benefit need based students with scholarships.
  • Center for Student Diversity (1946)
    • To support CSD events and initiatives at William & Mary as well as student organizations affiliated with CSD.
  • Inclusive Excellence Fund (3980)
    • To be used for the most pressing needs of the Office of Diversity and Equal Opportunity, or its successor program, at W&M, including but not limited to funding for training, outreach and programs that work towards a more inclusive university community.
  • The Haven Fund (4083)
    • To support the mission and most pressing needs of the Sexual Violence and Assault Resource Center, The Haven, or its successor, at the College of William and Mary.
  • Supporting Survivors of the Haven Fund (4212)
    • To provide support for The Haven's student advocate training expenses and to support the purchase of resources for The Haven, such as art supplies, books, magazines, therapeutic toys and journals.
  • Refugee Student Support Fund (4702)
    • To provide emergency support for students at William & Mary with heightened vulnerability due to their refugee status.
  • Fund for William & Mary (0900)
    • Unrestricted funds for the college that can be used for immediate needs identified by the administration.
