Corporate & Foundation Relations

The Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) creates strategic alliances between William & Mary, corporations and foundations. We strive to build mutually beneficial relationships with external partners in support of the university’s capital needs and expertise in teaching, research and related areas.

Corporations and foundations benefit from the many resources associated with one of America’s top universities, including leading scholars and researchers, exceptional students, and the laboratories and facilities on the main campus as well as the campus of the Virginia Institute of Marine Science.

Many types of support from corporations and foundations are critically important to William & Mary. Seed support for new initiatives, term funding for specific projects, grants toward undergraduate scholarships, capital grants for facilities, graduate fellowships, professorships and other faculty accolades, and in-kind gifts are among the most valuable forms of support for William & Mary.

CFR supports corporate and foundation partnerships in all academic areas — from the Arts & Sciences to our outstanding graduate and professional programs (Business, Education, Law and Marine Science) to other university and community resources such as the Muscarelle Museum, Swem Library, and the Reves Center for International Studies.
