Year-End Giving

Thank you for including William & Mary as you plan your end-of-year giving. A gift to William & Mary invigorates the university’s legacy of teaching excellence, propels groundbreaking research and advances a strong community of diverse perspectives.

The Office of University Advancement at William & Mary will be closed for the holidays beginning Friday, December 19 at 5 p.m. Regular business operations will resume on Monday, January 5, 2026.

There will be limited staff in the Office of University Advancement on December 22, 29, 30 and 31 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to assist donors with questions and year-end gifts.

Online

Credit card gifts can be made online through Wednesday, December 31, 2025 by midnight (Eastern Standard Time). Please visit https://give.wm.edu.

By telephone

Call 757-221-1008 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time) on our staffed days noted above to have someone assist you with taking your credit card gift by phone. In times of increased call volume, please leave a message and we will get back to you promptly.

Standard Mail (USPS)

Date your check on or before December 31, 2025, and be sure it is postmarked on or before December 31, 2025. Checks sent via the USPS must have a 2025 postmark.

Gifts of securities

Gifts of securities must arrive in one of our existing brokerage accounts by the end of the trading day prior to or on December 31 (the last trading day of the calendar year). Please be aware that this is the deadline for the funds to be in our brokerage account and this requires lead time for your broker to transfer the funds which can be at least three to five business days.
