Amplify your impact by making a gift on One Tribe One Day

Your gift helped us meet a series of giving challenges and unlock more than $600,000 in additional funding for William & Mary.

Here’s how the challenges worked:

Every single person making a gift on One Tribe One Day (OTOD) was counted toward donor challenges throughout the day. When each challenge was met, one or more generous donors contributed a significant amount to support areas of greatest need at William & Mary. So in effect, they challenged you to make a gift — of any amount — so that we could raise an additional $600,000.

All-Day Challenges

Gerdelman School & Unit Challenge

Every gift made to any fund in a school or unit counts as progress in three hierarchical categories: most donorsmost new donors and most improved from last year. The top-place finishers will each receive $15,000 to their respective impact fund. An additional school or unit will receive an honorable mention award of $5,000 for taking an innovative or unique approach to the day.

*A school or unit will only be eligible to receive bonus funds from one category.

Young Guarde Texting Challenge

The first 50 Young Guarde alumni (within first 10 years of graduation) who make a gift in response to a text from W&M will have their gift matched by $100 up to $5,000.

Crim Dell Texting Challenge

The first 200 donors who make a gift in response to a text from W&M will unlock $16,930 for the area of greatest need at W&M.

Parent & Family Challenge

When 2,021 parents give to any area of the university, $100,000 will be awarded to the Parents Fund, which supports student success initiatives at William & Mary and provides for the most urgent needs of our students.
