Impact Week Fall 2020 is a week-long competition in which six student organizations compete to receive grant funding to complete their proposed community service project that will benefit the local William & Mary or Williamsburg community. To receive funding, organizations must encourage fellow students to vote for their project in the form of a $5 gift to William & Mary that can benefit any area of campus. This semester only - all student gifts will be matched dollar-for-dollar to their chosen area by our generous Impact Week donor, doubling the impact of each contribution! Example: If you cast your vote and allocate your $5 gift to support scholarships, our Impact Week donor will match your gift and give $5 to scholarships.

Why Vote?

As students at William & Mary, we feel we have a responsibility to give back to the town that has given so much to our school and its students. Impact Week gives us the perfect opportunity to create positive impact in the Williamsburg community. Whether by simply voting for your favorite project or applying with your organization to receive funding for a project, you can make a difference for the people of Williamsburg. Many Williamsburg area residents rely on tourism, the service industry and college students being on campus for their livelihoods, and each of those areas took major hits this year. While there is always a need in Williamsburg, there is no better time to make an impact than now. SENIORS: an Impact Week vote counts towards your Senior Class Gift class giving percentage!
