On Tuesday, Nov. 30, when the whole world comes together to celebrate this annual day of giving, we have the chance to convey what matters most with a strong showing of support for our W&M community. Every gift makes a difference.

Starting at 8 a.m., your gift — of any size — can unlock an additional $100 for a specific area thanks to a series of flash challenges sponsored by W&M class ambassadors.

8 AM: Early Bird Challenge

The first fund to receive a gift at 8 a.m. will get an additional $100!

11-1 PM: Scholarship Power Hours

The first 50 gifts to the Scholarships Impact Fund (0158) will receive an additional $100. Up to $5,000 in matching gifts available.

12-2 PM: Lunch Hour Lockdown – Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Challenge

The first 50 gifts to our diversity, equity & inclusion funds listed below will receive an additional $100. Up to $5,000 in matching gifts available.

  • Diversity and Inclusion Fund (3980) to fund training, outreach, programs and research that work toward a more inclusive university community.
  • The Bray School Project Fund (5032) to support the research dedicated to reconstructing the history of what is likely America’s oldest extant schoolhouse for African Americans.
  • Lemon Project Fund (3527) to contribute to and encourage scholarship on the more than 300-year relationship between African Americans and W&M.
  • Center for Student Diversity (1946) to enhance the success of students both in and out of the classroom and to create a climate on campus that is inclusive and welcoming to all students.

2-4 PM: 120 Minutes to Go All In

The first athletics fund to receive a gift at the top of the hour will receive an additional $100! Throughout the two-hour challenge, the following athletics funds will compete to have the most individual donors to their fund. Up to $4,600 in matching gifts available.

  • Top fund receives $2,500 to their athletics fund!
  • Second place fund receives $1,250 to their athletic fund!
  • Third place fund receives $750 to their athletic fund!
